Karigane is made of the stems of a gyokuro tea grown in the shade. A full-bodied and umami-rich tea with slightly roasted nuts feel. The added matcha makes the tea liquid a vibrant green color and creamier mouthfeel. Same leaves can be brewed multiple times. Wonderful tea if you’re looking for something rich and strong but very low bitterness!
