Addis Ababa is a very dark roasted, high quality organic coffee from the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee. A smooth, full-bodied, low-acid, fresh coffee with a hint of bitterness and citrus flavours. The beans are glossy because the coffee’s natural fats have risen to the surface during roasting. The acidity is almost completely absent, but you still feel a tingle in your tongue. Hints of berries and currants are accentuated in the flavour, especially when using the Aeropress brewing method.
