Makea Coffee
Roaster: Visa Tuovinen
This coffee, from Guatemala, Huehuetenango region, is a collection from the harvests of various small farmers. The harvest season in the region is January-April and the coffee arrives in Finland in June. The region’s plantations are located between 1100 and 2300 metres above sea level in the Las Cuchumatanes mountains. The differences in the growth of the coffee berries, brought about by the variation in altitude, add dimension to the coffee cup. Here is a delicious, chocolatey coffee with a light fruitiness. The mouthfeel is soft and the acidity is low. As an espresso, the coffee brings out the lively fruity notes and the chocolate notes turn milky.
