Rwandan coffee is farmed by smallholders. Mutovu is a cooperative made up of nine farms, all located in the volcanic ground of Nyamasheke area. This coffee is made from the Red Bourbon variety and has been farmed in an extremely high altitude and wet processed. In 2015 the cooperative invested in new storage, better processing equipment and new drying surfaces to improve the coffee quality. This coffee was roasted in Vaajakoski for approximately 10 minutes in 205°C.
