For Jane, the producer, coffee was not only a way to create independence in a male dominated country, but also a great way to positively impact the surrounding communities. Temperature, rainfall, altitude and young volcanic soil in the Rift Valley was ideal for coffee. Jane brought life to a land that was mostly flat and dry. Since 2018, when she planted her first trees until now, her estate has been maturing into a biodiverse forest made up of indigenous and fruit-bearing trees.
