Colombia Finca Veracruz comes from the Antioquia region from the city of Amagán. There lies the Santa Barbara estate in the altitude of 1650 meters and is run by the Echavarria family.
The beans have been processed by cold fermeting, which means that right after picking the berries are laid into basins where they are kept for five days. The water temperature is held even by continuously cooling it down to 18 degrees Celsius. This method makes the aroma purer and decreases acidity.
The coffee is roasted lightly (1/5) typical to the roastery Mokkamestarit. This allows the coffee to be brewed with various methods including espresso.
The roaster’s tip: “You’ll get the best aromas of this coffee by brewing it as an espresso or cold brew!”
