The Indonesia Raja Gayo Organic has been grown in co-operatives of the Gayo mountain range region of lake Laut Tawat in Aceh. The Aceh region, know also for many natural disasters, produces splendid coffee. The coffee berry has been pulped by the local “Giling Basah” wet peeling process. The coffee has acquired a fine and tall body that is accompanied by an earthy and thick aftertaste. The typical characteristics of this organically grown coffee are low acidity and a certain sturdiness, which can both be tasted in the cup.
