Koto Coffee Roasters
Roaster: Masakuni Sakata
This product is produced by Nigussie Gemeda, the winner of the Ethiopia COE in 2020 with a score of 91.04, which was finally held in Ethiopia, the origin of coffee. The Karamo Washing Station uses only cherries from their own farm. Nigussie has been involved in coffee production since he was 16 years old on land he inherited from his parents. He is a hard worker who used to take cherries to market by mule over a long road. As he gradually grew in size and began to buy cherries from neighboring farmers, the biggest turning point for him came at the first Cup of Excellence in 2020. The Cup of Excellence was held for the first time in Ethiopia, the origin of coffee, and attracted a great deal of attention. Since then, Nigussie’s coffees have been inundated with offers from all over the world, but with even stricter quality standards. This will be the first time that KOTO COFFEE ROASTERS will introduce Nigussie’s coffee, which combines such ability and quality.
