Kaiguri Factory is one of seven stations owned by the Muteka cooperative, alongside Chorongi, Kiandu, Kamuyu, Kigwandi, Kihuyo and Mutuaini. The Muteca cooperative has designated farmers as role models and the surrounding area is trained to use their know-how. Thanks to these efforts, farmers in the cooperative avoid the use of chemical fertilisers by using the pulp of the coffee cherries as fertiliser. The water used in the selection process is drawn from the Gura River, which is fed by Mount Abadia. This Kenyan treat has a sweetness with citrus and honey flavours and a syrupy texture. It’s a must-try.
