Kigoma coffee is farmed in 1700-2000 metres in the Nyamagabe region of Southern Rwanda. Typical to the coffee is its acidity of a raspberry. In addition, Punainen Kirahvi roastery has managed to also create a very interesting aftertaste that hints of chocolate.
The purpose of the Motherand Farmers washing station is to help local farmers develop their living conditions by educating them about sustainable coffee production. The washing station receives coffees from surrounding areas, such as Nyamagabe. Behind the systematic development and increase of production capacity is the coffee supplier Nordic Approach. They cooperate already with about a 1000 coffee farmers in Rwanda. Their common goal is to produce Rwanda’s, or even the whole world’s, best coffee.
