Cafetoria Roastery
Roaster: Ivan Ore
The Coko farm is situated at an altitude of 2050m. It was founded by Jean Nepomuscene Habyarimana, who is also one of the owners of Muhondo washing station. As the son of a farmer he soon learned about the importance of coffee cultivation for the local community. In 2009 he decided to buy his own land. He is eager to improve the quality of his coffee each year and won first place in the Cup of Excellence in 2014. Coko Farm has also been selected as a model farm of the Farmer Field School. Considered as “best practice” small groups of farmers visit the farm to observe and learn about key elements of the agro-ecosystem and growing methods.
