The COMSA Cooperative, which produces Lagarto, is located in one of the poorest parts of Honduras, in the province of Marcala. The cooperative was founded in 2000 to guarantee local coffee producers a fair price for the work they do. The cooperative focuses on growing organic certified quality coffee and uses part of its income to support the local community. This blend comes from the varieties of the best coffee growers in the cooperative. The coffee has fruity notes of cherry, pineapple and other tropical fruits.
