Tiago de Almeida’s family has been growing coffee on the Sítio Morro Preto for over 80 years. Tiago’s great-grandfather Joaquim emigrated from Portugal with his parents as a child and made his first income from wood processing. With his first earnings he was able to buy a small piece of land, where he soon planted his first coffee seeds. Through hard work, he was able to gradually expand the farm. Today, Tiago, his family and his brother Renato focus on the cultivation and processing of specialty coffees. Different varieties and processing/fermentation forms ensure a wide and provide for a broad and unusual portfolio of the most diverse coffees.
