Swiss Water is a completely chemical-free way to remove caffeine from coffee while preserving its original flavours and properties. Caffeine is removed using pure water and activated carbon filtration. As the caffeinated water passes through the carbon filter, the resulting decaffeinated water can be reused to process a variety of different coffees. Because no chemicals are added to the process, 80% of the water used can be returned to local rivers and streams as clean water. Fun coffee fact: According to industry standards, coffee is considered decaffeinated when it has no more than 3% caffeine remaining. Swiss Water’s decaffeinated coffee has 0.01% caffeine.
