Fram’s farm is located in the Kiambu region of south-western Kenya. Coffee cultivation on the farm dates back to 1958. The farm is managed by James Kariuki. The mineral and red clay soils provide a favourable growing environment for coffee berries at an altitude of just under 2000 metres above sea level. The coffee is extremely balanced and medium acidic. The coffee has a deep berry juiciness. The espresso is characterised by redcurrant, citrusy acidity and a hint of liquorice root.
