Burundi Buthinda Lot 1546 is one of the newest creations from the roastery Helsingin Kahvipaahtimo. The first to enjoy this coffee are Slurp subscribers. The coffee grows in the North-Eastern Burundi, the Muyinga province in the vicinity of the Buthinda washing station. The Lot 1546 consists only of beans that are of an exceptionally high quality.
The director of the roastery Helsingin Kahvipaahtimo, Benjamin Andberg, fell in love with the coffees from Angele Ciza’s already in 2012. Since then, they have kept in touch. However, this Burundian coffee arrived at the roastery purely through a blind tasting. The taste is characterised by strong berries and a grapefruit-like acidity.
