Addis Abeba is a very dark roast, high quality fair trade organic coffee. It comes from the birthplace of coffee: Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia. Roasted by Mokkamestarit, the coffee is almost extremely dark — a so called latin dark roasting level. The beans are shiny, because the natural oils have risen to the surface during the roasting. The acidity is almost completely gone. Nevertheless, there is a tingling sensation on the tongue amidst the roastiness. Once cooled down, one can find currants in the coffee.
