Ethiopia Gelana Abaya was selected as the best espresso of 2018 at the Helsinki Coffee Festival. The coffee originates from Israel Degfa’s washing station and it is a first class natural processed coffee. The ripe coffee berries have been carefully sorted to ensure the clean flavor of the coffee. The coffee has been grown on smallholdings in the altitude of 1700-1900m above sea level. The coffee has been roasted light, so that it can be brewed bth as an espresso and filter coffee. As a filter coffee Ethiopia Gelana Abaya has a syrup-like mouthfeel and berry-like flavors. As an espresso it has an extremely clean flavor profile with notes of strawberries, papaya and mango.
